1. Financial Checklist: Deposit, Fees, and Insurance

Before we hand over the keys to your new home, please ensure you’ve submitted your security deposit and any applicable move-in fees. These can be submitted through our resident portal or by cashier’s check. 

Please also be aware that all households are required to have renter's insurance and a proof of policy for move-in. If you need help securing coverage, feel free to reach out! We can help you navigate this process.

2. Setting Up Utilities and Services

A reminder that water and sewer charges will be added to your monthly rental bill based on consumption. However, please contact the water and electricity providers listed below to ensure these services are ready to use by the time you move into your new apartment!

3. How to Pay Rent

The most efficient method of payment is through the resident portal. Please make sure your account is set up and ready to go before your move-in day!

We do offer alternative payment options, including cashier's check, personal check, or WIPS (Walk-In Payment System) at the leasing office. If you have any trouble with the resident portal, our leasing office is always available to provide support or answer any questions. 

4. Parking, Transit, and Local Access

Every resident vehicle parked in our community’s parking lot is required to show a provided parking sticker. All residents can receive a parking sticker as long as their vehicle is registered to a person listed on their lease. Guest parking is available with a daily fee, and their vehicle must be registered through Zark Parking. 

Coppermine Run also provides easy access points to major routes like Route 28 and the Dulles Toll Road to make travel accessible and convenient!

Along with these major routes, Coppermine Run provides access to various forms of public transportation, like the Fairfax Connector routes and the Innovation Center Metro Station and Herndon Station are each approximately 1 mile away , which offer easy commutes throughout Northern Virginia.

You are also minutes away from major shopping and dining destinations like the Herndon ClockTower Shopping Center, Worldgate Center, and Reston Town Center.

5. Our Pet Policy

We love our furry friends! Coppermine Run is a pet-friendly community with a limit of two pets per household. Each pet requires a one-time fee of $300 and a monthly pet rent of $40. Approved service animals and emotional support animals are exempt from these fees once the required documentation is verified.

Do units have in-unit laundry?

Yes! Apartments include washer and dryer hookups. Residents have the option to rent a stackable washer and dryer for $50 per month or provide their own stackable units.

How do I submit a maintenance request?

Requests can be submitted through the online resident portal or by contacting the leasing office directly. Emergency maintenance is also available 24 hours a day.

How are packages handled?

Residents are responsible for receiving their own deliveries as the leasing office does not accept or hold packages!
